Frequently Asked Questions
Organization
Why was this organization founded?
CFHE was established to promote health education and physical activities for people of all ages to reduce the levels of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, strokes and other illnesses through parent child joint activities.
CFHE recognizes that parents are ultimately responsible for what children eat and their exposure to physical activity. Therefore, merely targeting childhood obesity does not effect the entire sedentary population.
What program or services do you provide for people with disabilities?
We promote programs that require little or no athletic ability which allows participation for all members of a family.
Are your programs suitable for young children?
Our programs are geared toward parent child interaction. We provide programs that are life-sustaining as well as one day events. We have two goals for each program we create: to bring families closer together and to educate our community on the importance of staying physically active.

Donations
Why should we donate to your organization?
Council for Family Health Education (CFHE) fills a need by providing physical activities that require joint participation of parent and child. CFHE can be characterized as somewhere between an after school program and a public health advisory organization. Our activities do not require any athletic ability or special equipment for participation but alternatively will focus on fun and quality time between parent and child.
